1) Golden Temple:-

Golden Temple was made by the fourth Sikhism Guru – Guru Ramdas Ji in 1577. Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, after founding the Sikh empire, rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809 and overlaid the sanctum with gold leaf in 1830. 2) Jallianwala Bagh:-
Jallianwala Bagh is a popular patriotic historical place in Punjab. Jallianwala Bagh is located very close to the Golden Temple. British Empire successfully ran in India in 1919, at that time many revolutionary acts ran against the British Empire. Because of that British army arrested two revolutionary men Saifuddin Kitchlew and Satyapal. When people came to know about this then 13 April 1919, a huge gathering of people came to Jallianwala Bagh to hold a peaceful protest against the British Army.
When General Dyer knew about the movement of protesters then he came to Jallianwala Bagh with the British Army and he closed all sides of Jallianwala Bagh and gave orders to the Army to open fire on people. Due to open firing General Dyer killed more than 1500-2000 people, over 1200 people were injured and 192 people were serious injuries. At that time Sardar Bhagat Singh and Sardar Udham Singh also was there. From this incident, Sardar Bhagat Singh promised to take revenge on the British Empire. Sardar Udham Singh decides to kill General Dyer and after 21 years Sardar Udham Singh takes revenge to kill General Dyer in London.
3) Anandpur Sahib:-
Anandpur Sahib most popular and historical place in Punjab. Anandpur is a city in Rupnagar district[Roper], on the edge of Shivalik Hills, in the Indian state of Punjab. This city was founded by the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji in June 1667. Anandpur Sahib is near of Satluj river. Anandpur Sahib is a sacred religious place in Sikhism. The last two Sikh Gurus Guru Teg Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh lived in Anandpur Sahib.
It is also the place where Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa in 1699. On the Vaisakhi day of 1699, Guru Gobind Singh invited all Sikh congregations to convene at Anandpur Sahib for the upcoming festival. It was normal for the Guru to celebrate Vaisakhi at Anandpur with the Sikh congregation annually but this time more importance was placed on attendance than usual and more stringently. Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa Panth in Anandpur on the day of 1699 Vaisakhi. Anandpur Sahib features a major festival and gathering of Sikhs every year on the occasion of Hola.
4) Fatehgarh Sahib :-
Fatehgarh Sahib is the most famous place in Punjab, the city is always known for its history. After leaving Anandpur Sahib family members of Guru Gobind Singh Ji turn into different-different paths due to Sarsa River. Due to this Guru Gobind Singh’s mother, Mata Gujri Ji, and younger children Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were separated from him. Going further, they met Gangu Ram and he requested Mata Gujri to stay at his house, so Mata ji and Sahibzade stayed at Gangu Ram’s house for one night.
The next day, Gangu Ram told Wazir Khan whether Guru Gobind Singh’s Mother and His two young children were staying at his house. So Wazir Khan’s forces took them to Sirhind, where they were kept captive in a cold tower. Wazir Khan wanted to convert the children of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and he made many efforts but failed. Finally, he said to Sahibzadas, either you change your religion or you will be marked alive on the wall. Sahibzades did not bow down to the oppression, in the end, they were martyred. Now every year in December in Fatehgarh Sahib a ceremony dedicated to the martyrdom of the Sahibzades is celebrated. Where every year the Sikhs of the entire Punjab come together in several lakhs.
5) Wagah Border:-
Wagah Border is one of the attractions that no tourist should miss while on their trip to Punjab. Wagah Border is located at a distance of 28 km from Amritsar.
