Here are the Panch Prayag are five holy river confluences in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India.

Rudraprayag is the place where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. Lord Shiva, also known as Rudra, the destroyer and transformer of Hindu mythology, gives its name to this sacred confluence. It (Rudraprayag) is believed to be the abode where Lord Shiva meditated to please the gods.

Ancient temples of Lord Shiva and other deities mark Rudraprayag confluence, where devotees come to seek blessings for spiritual growth and freedom. The flow of the rivers against the backdrop of snow mountains and green valleys is a sight to behold and inspires contemplation.

5. Devprayag ( last prayag of panch prayag )

It is 5th prayag of the panch prayags from here the river Alkananda and Bhagirathi meets and it becomes the holy river Ganga.

At the sangam, there are two kunds. Two kunds are known as Brahma Kund, situated at the junction of the Bhagirathi stream, and Vasishta Kund, located at the confluence of the Alkananda stream. At Devprayag, the natural wonder unfolds as the greenish waters of the Alaknanda river meet the bluish waters of the Bhagirathi river. The contrast created by the meeting of these two rivers symbolizes purity and sacredness.

People come to Devprayag to take a holy dip in the confluence waters . Believers think that it washes away sins and gives punya. The ancient Raghunathji Temple is a attraction in Devprayag. Here, devotees come to worship Lord Rama and Sita, the divine couple.
